The long-awaited inauguration of the Kaduna-Kano rail line is scheduled for December 3rd, as confirmed by the APC Campaign Council. This project is part of Nigeria's broader efforts to improve its transportation infrastructure, facilitating easier movement of goods and people across the northern region.

When President Bola Tinubu assumed office in 2023, the Kaduna-Kano rail project was reported to be less than 30 percent complete. However, significant advancements have been made since then, underscoring the administration's commitment to revitalize and complete critical infrastructure projects.

Furthermore, the Kano-Katsina-Maradi railway project, which was only five percent complete at the time of Tinubu's inauguration, also reflects the government's focus on enhancing rail connectivity. The completion of these projects is expected to not only improve transportation efficiency but also boost economic activities in the region.

“The inauguration of the Kaduna-Kano rail line represents a key step towards achieving our national development goals and enhancing regional trade,” a spokesperson from the APC Campaign Council stated.

The upcoming inauguration is anticipated to draw significant attention from stakeholders and the public alike, as it symbolizes progress in Nigeria's infrastructural development agenda.
