President Bola Tinubu made his way back to Abuja on Monday evening, landing at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at approximately 7:45 p.m. His return follows a productive stay in Lagos, where he engaged in several official and political activities after a working vacation in Europe.
During his time in Lagos, which began when he returned from Europe last Tuesday, President Tinubu held meetings with both political and business leaders, further solidifying his administration's agenda. Upon arrival, he was welcomed by key officials, including the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and the Director of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ibrahim Sule Dan Agundi.
In a brief interaction with journalists, President Tinubu addressed ongoing concerns regarding his health, stating, "I’m here: healthy, sound and ready to go.” He expressed satisfaction with his vacation, simply saying, “I enjoyed myself,” before emphasizing his eagerness to get back to work.
His return to Abuja marks a significant moment as he resumes his duties amidst a busy schedule that includes addressing national issues and advancing his administration's objectives. Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, who welcomed him in Lagos, expressed confidence in the President's leadership and the direction of his policies.
