Tinubu Highlights Impact of 21 MSME Hubs Creating 650,000 Jobs Nationwide

In a significant address, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu revealed that Nigeria's 21 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) hubs have collectively supported the creation of around 650,000 jobs. These facilities, strategically located across 19 states and the Federal Capital Territory, aim to empower entrepreneurs by providing essential shared equipment, reliable power, and production infrastructure.

The establishment of these hubs is part of the government's broader initiative to stimulate economic growth and reduce unemployment by facilitating easier access to resources for small businesses. By lowering the barriers to entry and operational costs, these hubs are designed to nurture budding entrepreneurs and encourage the expansion of existing small enterprises.

President Tinubu emphasized the critical role that MSMEs play in Nigeria's economy, noting that they account for a significant percentage of the country's employment and gross domestic product (GDP). He stated,

“Our commitment to supporting MSMEs is unwavering, as they are the backbone of our economy. These hubs not only create jobs but also foster innovation and economic resilience.”
